Do I need to Map?
Ive got a recently imported Type R V4 which has covered about 2000 uk miles. Ive been quoted £795+vat for Apexi Power FC ECU as the ecu is not remappable. If the concensus is I need to have then I'll find the money.

Always best to get JDM's mapped to UK fuel IMHO. With only 2000 UK miles on the clock, yours is an ideal candidate for a remappable ECU too.
JGM can supply a brand new one + the Commander + fit + map it - he can travel to you! - for that quoted price. Although, for only an exta £115, he can supply, fit and map the superior Simtek instead.
Or if money's an issue, there's the excellent value for money ESL daughterboard option too - see JGM's ECU/mapping solutions here:-
