prodrive cat question
just bought a newage prodrive cat downpipe but its missing the heat wrap/blanket thingy any one know where i can get one from thanks

The last version of this sports cat had heat shielding built into the canister.
Do you know the age of the car it came from?

they tend to fray and fall off anyway mate.. just heatwrap it.

apparently was fitted as part of a prodrive upgrade a year or to ago
anyone recomend any particular type of heat wrap??

pretty sure this is right, if your downpipe has a big belled out opening with what looks like a welded in plate in the middle, then it's the later version that needs no additional wrapping.
however if it's got a twin pipe setup like this
SUBARU IMPREZA WRX STI PRODRIVE SPORTS CAT on eBay, also, Subaru, Car Parts, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 20-Jan-09 16:33:36 GMT)
then it's missing it's heat wrap and will need doing.

yer your right its the later version with the larger bell mouth and welded bit of metal in between
