The number of people who have been on here after buying a dodgy 'Exedy' clutch off either the 'net or Ebay, suggests that there must be Chinese copies out there.

We never have any trouble with ours that are sourced in Japan, by APi Japan. AND our ones with the uprated centre disc as MIT is buying, have proven themselves time and again in competition and on the road.

There was a problem a year or so ago with dodgy Chinese TD05 turbo copies. They lasted about 6 weeks if I recall.

Avoid the net and Ebay is my advice, if it looks to good to be true, it probably is. And we are here on the phone with advice and information, Try getting that off the 'net if they don't want to talk to you......

I've seen many a good post about Api's quality of work and after sales service, hence why im doing the 160 mile round trip on Friday for the clutch/flywheel.
Oh, and im looking to see if the 1 hour clutch change is an urban myth!

Buy from somewhere reputable. If you have purchased a clutch from questionable source, take high res pictures and send to Exedy UK. The only officially recognised uprated friction plate for your model is FD08h.

We're out of stock at the moment on clutches for that spec (only have higher end clutches at the moment), but we do have a range of lightweight forged flywheels in stock at great prices.

Cheers,

Bob.
