Default O.E ecu from my04

Does my ecu need to be coded by subaru to work on another car of similar age, reason being it has the remap licence, and the lad who is thinking of having it, ecu does'nt, so saving him buying the licence !

Anybody have a answer ?

Your ECU will have to be coded to the other guy's keys to work in his car.
