woz just wondering if any1 had any ideas on how to make my wrx a bit quiter without having to put a standard exhaust back on its got a full stainless de-cat'd exhaust but its just way too loud ive heard about putting baffles in the backbox has any1 tried owt like this cheers adam.

 

How loud is loud mate? Have you had it sound tested? I'm not sure exactly but is the legal noise limit 85db or there abouts?

 

what type of exhaust do you have?my hks came with a bung type thing you could put in but it never got used.

 

HKS silent hi power is your answer,gives enough of a burble, but will not drone on long trips.

 

Have another box wellded in mid pipe like the hks, will make it a bit quieter but wont effect the power that much.

 

buy a focus

or change the back box to a more baffled one

the exhaust bungs fit into the tail pipe, but seems a bit pointless having to put in and remove etc..
best to get a different back box
