Hub Type? Assistance Needed

Does any one know if a wrx front wheel hub will fit an sti? for a my01 car?
I know that the 5 and 6 speed driveshafts are obviously different.

Yup correct, they have the same part number.

In 2004 the Sti hub part no: changes to one that carries a larger wheel brg and it also has an increased PCD (distance between wheel studs)
