the cel light on the dash has come up. If the wire fell off the power steering pump would this cause this?

 

unlikely imo

 

have you got the cel up and that is disconnected or usually plug come off it and you wondering therefore if a code will occur?

yeah when i removed the old engine the plug fell off the the wire. I have just fitted the engine and the cel has come on. I was wondering if it is because i haven't reconnect the plug yet or if something else is up

I haven't got a powersteering one listed but it might exist.
