Default gear box problems???

hi guys , is there , i have an english 1999 classic and iv e just blown the gear box up lol , im trying to find a box to put in it , the guys up the road from mine at jap performance have said they have one but the box codes are different ?? the one they have there is a 1998 the box code on mine is HL-TY754VN1AA SO I WAS WONDERING WOULD THE BOX THEY HAVE OFF OF THE ENGLISH CAR 1998 FIT MINE?? THANKS FOR ANY HELP IN ADVANCE!

Is theirs a '...6AA', then? Or even if it's a '...5BA' or '...4BA', it looks like they have all the same ratios and FD as the '...1AA' anyway, so should be okay(?)

Just noticed that yours being a '...54' means that it has a stronger casing. Those others are the weaker casing '...52' 'boxes - now not sure if it'll fit

I know that later boxes had 8 (instead of the early ones' 4) bellhousing bolts, but not sure if that's just for New Age cars, though

The 8 bolt fixing was introduced on the Classic cars in 1999 at the same time as the Phase II engine. (EJ205/207)

A 4 bolt box will fit an 8 bolt engine block if you wish to go that route.
