Default Block machining tech question?

I had my 2.0l CDB machined to accept a v9 nitrided 2.0l crank, does this mean , bearing/thrust wise, it is ready to accept a 2.5 crank in theory?

or does extra machining have to happen allow for the extra 2.5 litre crank lift?

It should be able to take the 2.5lt crank, but there are areas of the block that will/may need relieving to let the 2.5lt crank, and rods work safely.
