Default Hawkeye vs Classic Gear Ratio's

Hi all, I have recently bought a 2.5 wrx Hawkeye as some of you may know. It is my third scooby, The other 2 were UK 2000 turbo's on S and V plates they both seemed to be able to hit 60 in second gear more comfortably than the one i have now. Does anyone know if the new age Subaru's are geared much different to the Classic's or am I just imagining it?
Thanks

As far as i'm aware, if all cars are uk, then they share the same gearing, you might have a slightly different feel due to the hawkeye being a 2.5...... and bigger wheels...
