hi, today i was driving home and i started to hear a knocking noise that seemed to be coming from the rear driveshafts. the noise gradually got louder and i could really feel the car shake. i jacked it up and all i can see is the rubber joint from the passenger rear driveshaft has come off. its the one towards the middle connecting to the diff. someone has told me it could be a simple fix but im not sure. can anyone help. cheers

 

Sounds like the boot has come off the CV causing the CV to dry up and clonk, depending on the condition you may be able to get away with new grease, boot and circlip or you may need a new CV all I can think of really!

 

will any make cv work or should i avoid the cheap stuff. could i get one from the local car spares shop. cheers
