98 uk vs 98sti ecu

Default 98 uk vs 98sti ecu

just spotted a my 98 sti ecu on ebay, i have a 98 uk turbo wagon. it says its a 3plug like mine and says 75 on the case. would this work in the wagon? im planning turbo upgrades and injectors.

Not strictly true, it will work if the Cam and Crank sensor wires are swapped over and the owner replaces his turbo and injectors for 98 Sti units.
He will also need the MAF from the same STi as I suspect his would have the Blue label version, not the Orange label version reqd to work with that ecu.
IIRC they have the same multiplug so no need to rewire.

not wise to ignore the different cams, valves, valve shims, valve springs (allowing the higher rev limit) and the different pistons and rods..
depends on definition of work.. lol.

johnnygav fitted the 97-98 wrx exu to his uk wagon and with a few mods, (proper maf and injectors etc etc) managed to get iirc 350bhp!!

Will also need to move the fuel pump wire and inform his insurance that he has bypassed the factory fit immobiliser.
