some advice please lads n lasses

currently have a 3" sports cat with magnex system and magnex 5" can

it sounds nice deep raspy and pops every now and then.

i want to go full de-cat, so do i .............................

all out full de-cat with afterburner backbox ?, and make ears bleed

or

full de-cat with the tsl group n backbox ?

any comments on the above set ups please / anyone running these

at the moment I've got a decat dowpipe. centre cat and TSL group N but in a few weeks I'm having a decat centre pipe fitted.

At the moment the car is not obtrusive at all except when you boot it. I'll let you know what mine sounds like with the full decat on the TSL backbox (I'm hoping it's going to be louder than at the moment)

As promised I have an update on this backbox since fitting a centre decat. My MY99 UK Impreza Turbo now has a decat downpipe, decat 2.5" centre and a TSL Group N backbox.

The car doesn't sound any louder with the decat centre than it did when I'm driving under 3000rpm which is good for the neighbours. However when giving it full beans it sounds a lot more pleasing to the ears and really makes it a good candidate for one of the best "quiet" backboxes around. It's ideal for use on a full decat system, as some backboxes can sound far too loud with a full decat. Hope this helps

I will try and get someone to video it with a window down soon to show how loud it sounds. When cruising without my foot down it sounds very quiet but it's amazing how evil it sounds when you boot it! Much nicer sound than before I had a full decat!
