fitting eagle rods

Default fitting eagle rods

hi there all just wanted some help im refitting a set of eagle rods to my ej20 and just wanted to no if i fit the rod and the cap so the part numbers are on the same side, im only asking because this would mean that the the little lugs on the shells would also be on the same side (on alot of engines they sit eather side to stop them turning round) any help would be good

TBH most engines iv ever built and thats a lot of varied sorts the shell locating lugs always end up on the same side....as does any numbering/lettering in shure there are odd things but iv never seen any

If the Eagle rods are not marked with a "front" mark, then fit them with the big end shell locating lugs as per OE rods ( normally ends up with the Eagle logo facing the front).
