The V8 STi heads run VVT, and all the classics don't.

So, unless you're going the whole hog, with all the right hardware and engine management that can make use of the VVT solenoids, then i wouldn't bother.

I have a set of well prepped big cam ect,ect v3's and now the engines destined for a newage we are going to v8 heads for no other reason than the wiring and all the manifold will work,
Iv been told it will be a mare to fit the early engine to the late car
