Versions
I may be abit thick on this one but i am confused about all there versions of impreza
Mine is a uk turbo MY98 Which version is this?

The versions are as follows:
93-96 Version 1 and 2
97-98 version 3 and 4
99-00 version 5 and 6
Your car is a version 4

well p reg 97 is the turn of version 2 to 3
so being that its a 3 or 4. not sure the difference someone else will help you on that though.

I thought the 'version' was only a term referenced with jdm cars.
Never heard a UK car referenced as a version.

Same here. Only thought it applied to JDM cars as it was never really used in the uk.

Maybe it is only applied to sti models as I have seen UK cars that are described as 'versions' from v7 onwards.
As classic Sti's were only available as jdm then the above holds true.

You are correct rossi they uk cars only went by model year, not versions like the JDM STi's. None of the newage cars have versions technically but go by the model year.

i insured my wrx 05 plate today and the insurance kept asking me what model it was, i said wrx turbo uk 225 bhp, they kept asking was it an SL ????

Its an MY98 turbo 2000, only STI's upto 2000 had versions

SL = sunroof and leather, if you dont have those then its the normal one
