can any one help me can you fit a ej25 straight into a o4 wrx sti or are there any mods that need to be done thanks

 

your 04 is that the blob eye shape after the bug eye, I thought they all were 2.5l LOL didnt know they have 2.0 too in that shape sti.

I think the EJ25 fits straight into classics so should have no probs fitting to yours mate

 

Just fitted one into my 05 WRX it goes in no problems

I'm aiming for around the 400bhp mark

 

If you're using your wrx heads inlet manifold you will need a full gasket set and a 16mm breather blank off pipe as the 2.5 block has an extra breather coming out of the top of the block.

 

Get some thicker headgaskets, I got 1.6mm Cometic ones off a guy on ebay for £80

did you have any work done to the heads (matching to bigger bores) and are you sticking with the VF35..?

Would be very interested to know how it compares to the 2.0l..
