Default Bonnet doesn't sit flush!?

It sits as if it doesn't close fully, like it rocks from the middle as if something is underneath in the way but I have checked and theres nothing obvious to me

Anyone know of this before? I had the bonnet off quite a few times when I had the engine in & out... Its driving me nuts!

think you can take the grill off and then the bolts that hold the catch n cable can be adjusted, they may of slackened and the catch has moved upwards

You have an FMIC on there, don't you mate.

Do you still have the original undertray under the bonnet that would have directed air into the original top mounted intercooler? If so remove it, it's no longer needed and may be causing your probs.

Also if you have the original battery in there, it makes the FMIC pipework a VERY tight fit! Best to switch to an EVO battery if you can and that provides more breathing space.

ahh did'nt know that a different battery would give me more space as the pipework is very tight. The undertray has gone and i really can't see anything in the way. I've moved the intercooler pipe near the battery to go underneath the fuel pipe as I thought that was a problem, but its clear now.

I think i'll have to check out adjusting the catch!

I'll source an Evo battery too! Nice one Paul
