Smile wrx bigend problem

hi all i have a 1996 wrx scooby i had it out for a big blast and now have a bigend knock
some info please can i take the crank out and get it reground or can i just change the bearings.

never regrind a scooby crank.. new ones are not mega money

there less than £300 & a full set of shells aound £100,tho i risked it & did the ebay route & got a low millage as good as new crank for around £100 & it's been ok so far ...

but you can't just take the crank out i'm arrraid it's a complete engine strip down ...so you will have other costs such as head gasket,other gaskets & seals & cam belts...

If you do it your self i think i costs about £800-£1000 for the parts and thats with a new crank

hi all thanks for the help think i have found a full engine for 500 my friend owns a scrap yard if i do get it i will put my engine up for parts cause it was a rocket
