Default remap info

hi all
just a quick question from another noob
i have a my00 uk turbo just getting into the tuning aspect of it all
and was curious about boost settings in first gear
my scooby seems to hold back alot in first and second and was wondering if and when i finally get round to a remap if that would change
i've seen some scooby's on you tube and they really take off
heard something about the uk models being restricted and as a total noob
not sure if its true or not
hoping some of you technical minded people out there could put me straight
think ive read most the posts on this site and you wouldnt believe how much this site has helped me out so far so a big thanks to all so far
cheers in advance guys

a remap will increase the boost and power and throttle response in every gear..

there is an noise emissions thing which you mainly come accross if at all in 2nd.. hold a steady throttle and then floor it and it will not make full boost..

Pretty much the same question really, but just want to clarify my 03 jdm sti only boosts to 12psi in 1st gear, after an ecutek remap will this be raised to the same as the other gears? as 1st gear is quite dissapointing really lol.

it will increase but due to the lack of load in 1st you won't see as much in 1st as in higher gears.

Depending on the rom file in the ecu there is compensation to help..
