hi people am fairly new to this forum. i have bought myself a subaru wrx turbo jdm. however one of the main things that took my fancy about the subarus was the rumble you get. now my car is fitted with a hks exhaust sytem from the cat back to a 5" back box.however it does not seem to have the rumble of many scoobys out there with smaller exhaust systems.would it make it any better if i removed the cat and put a decat pipe there would that make it any louder just trying to find out my options really people any help would be much appriciated kind regards

 

De-cat will make it louder.

The HKS Dragger system isn't one of the louder exhausts so you could consider changing that to something like the Blitz Nur Spec which makes a lovely sound for the cat back system.

Has the car any other modifications? I ask because you may be missing the 'Scooby' rumble as someone may have fitted equal length headers which would change the sound of the exhaust.

 

you could go for a hayward and scott decatted full system good power increase and nice sound
