Default Clutch or Engine mount

I'm getting a juddering 5 or 6 knocks when I pull away in first gear trying to work out whether it is clutch or and engine mount
Also if I brake hard when stopping it sticks in gear but then releases when stationary which makes me think engine mount

Sounds that way, get someone to rev the engine whilst you look under the bonnet to see if there is excessive movement.
