Question Crank Tool??? Where to buy?

People please help me as I intend to take my heads off to see what is wrong with my 'tapping' engine, but I couldn't even get the crank pulley off as I need a tool to lock it, so I could undo the nut..........where can I get this 'crank pulley sprocket / wrench' from...or do you use something else, please help me...

As you can see I'm pretty desperate

Plenty of ways to improvise. I usually use something the lock the crank at the flywheel end.

Stick it in FIFTH gear with the handbrake on hard. Preferably get an assistant to stand on the brakes as well. Use a good fitting socket and at least 600mm breaker bar. Make sure you are heaving the right way and give it a wack with a copper mallet. Hasn't failed for me yet and I have aircon which means it has the highest torque loading to work against.

If that don't work then remove the starter motor and jam the flywheel teeth and try again.

You didn't say whether it was still in car or not.

Spot on Removed mine out the car buy jamming the bolts on the fly wheel. Tightened in the car in 5th with a mate standing on the breaks.

I assumed the engine was out of the car thus the 5th gear method was not an option.
