Default Need Help !

I've just purchased a 2006 '56-plate' 2.5 WRX Wagon, but need your help and advice..... It's fitted with a free-flow exhaust and catalyst, with an ECU Remap / rolling road tune and has graphs to show an output of 285bhp - which I thinks great! - The only problem is the noise.....I feel like a boy-racer when driving it, and the wife refuses to - if I dont reduce the noise, she'l have to go (the car!) Please help with any advice, I even dont mind reverting back to a standard exhaust.

Well don't let the wife drive it would be the cheapest option
Fit an exhaust bung would be another option

It has a brand engraved around the tail pipe - will have a look later, and reply tommorow. - this sounds like an easy fix - any ideas where to source a full system (inc cat) from??

best thing to do is take it somewhere like RCM \ API \ ZEN and ask them if they sell a quieter back box \ resonated centre section

we can't help as we don't know what exhaust you have

Revolution exhausts are generally regarded as being quiet

The exhaust is a 'Milkek Sports' with free-flow cat and 100mm tail pipe.

Also, aren't Jap JASMA branded exhausts quiet?

I had a one on my WRX and although it was 3" bore from the downpipe back, it was quiet as hell!. Possibly the quietest one I've heard on a Scoob...... That's why I changed it!

Bump for any other recommendations on a quieter exhaust as I don't want to end up in the same boat
