Default Solid lifters

I have a few questions that hopefully one of you clever spuds can help with

I have just inherited a pair of heads apart (off a 94 WRX apparently) and they have solid lifters. They have buckets with approx 10mm dia shims inside - these are what's known as underbucket lifters I take it? So from an earlyish STI and not the standard ones?

I haven't got the cams but assume that I need the specific cams for solids (ones with an 'on ramp' to take up the lash)? Which aftermarket ones are suitable (or has someone got some OE ones they don't want )?

Lastly, when I get cams, how do I go about shimming it? Is it just install cam and measure gap to base circle then shim appropriately? Where do I get shims if I need them?

Ok, they're called lash caps, they're a 6mm diameter valve stem, ID 6.2mm and thickness is about 2.5mm but can't measure accurately with an old skool vernier. I'm making progress.

I've found people who sell them including catcams, but not in the size i need so far.

The heads are from a Wrx type Ra / STi type Ra, if they are that age. The cams are as you say specific for solid lifters, Ver 1 & 2 Wrx / STi Ra. I'm not sure if cams from later cars would fit in these heads or not, somebody else may.
Shimming is as you say.
