MOT Failed - emissions!!
Bugger it, car failed MOT today on fast idle emissions test.
It has a sports CAT and has been re-mapped.
I have the original exhaust system. Is it a case of just putting the original CAT back in place? Not sure about any sensors etc or if it will make it run crap?
Only going to put it back to run it to the garage and back (just down the road) so not going to be driven hard.
Thanks for any info.

mate is it a local mechaninc or a big company garage? i just had my mot, got a decat pipe on so knew it wasnt goin to pass, luckily my mechaninc is a local one who previously removed my cat which took him hours coz of the bolts, i told him and he knew it wouldnt pass but said he would put it thru as i still have the original cat and basically he didnt want to have to replace it again

lol, that was handy then!
Garage is a small place.
Well I took it for a good rag up the road for a while to get it nice and hot, then took it back to the garage and it passed!! result!!
I did have a look under the car (2004 UK STI) before hand and it would seem I would have to change the downpipe CAT and the pipe from that to the centre section as the APS exhaust I have on my car will not allow the original centre CAT to be put back in so it would have been a bloody nightmare getting that off.
