i've had that problem twice on my previous car - both times just took it to the local tyre shop - they're used to these problems and will have it off in 2 mins. Both times they didn't charge me anything so i gave the helpful chap a tenner for his pocket and went away pleased that i could get my wheels off

i have just the tool for this,a proper nut removal socket with a very course left hand thread inside,place over nut and as you undo ie anti-clockwise the nut actualy tightens on the offending broken nut,20 secs it will be off if you need to borrow it mate will post down to ya but need it back
let us know mate.
just had excatly the same bother on my typeR, with locking wheels nuts
tryed every removal tool on the market and nothing worked
ended off having to drill studs out, and it was a total nightmare, took 3 hours per stud (had 3 seized on)

if its the Halfrauds branded one, even though its made by Laser it has Halfrauds lifetime warranty. The better one is the type that acts like the old "gaitor grip" hex pin socket.
That should do it mate got mine through snap-on but almost identical to this,i had tried most other things being a mechanic at landrover had the pick of most tools but didnt want to damage alloys as they were 19" superleggas so mega expensive
wanted them off to fit new inovit alloys in anthracte 18" and this tool worked spot on,hope all goes well for ya blue.

Not wishing to be a doom monger, but as i said in your other post, i had the exact same locking nuts and the reverse thread device was just too big to fit past the alloys and over the locking nut with enough purchase to pull it out. Perhaps on your alloys it may be different, but on the 17! subaru alloys there is a wheel recess that the nut will not pass!!
