got a 95 wrx import the other day.

drives very well, etc, but both front seats have a lot of wear on the outside bolster

is this normal for these grey cloth and black seats

had a vectra sri with 110k on clocks and the hlaf leather seats were showing similar signs of wear

do these seats wear a lot, or is it through loads of usage? mileage is 62 k now

 

Yes bolster wear seems to be a common problem..

 

Drivers side in my 93wrx is getting nicely worn ,passenger side is fine.
If you use the car everyday ,as i do, then the bolster will get quite worn as your **** is slipping over it when you are getting in and out.

 

my 93 wrx bolters are almost perfect still. car has done 37000 miles.

 

Wonder why that is then!?

My bolster on the drivers side is a little worn,cars done 63000 miles,it may have been owned by a couple of fatties!!

A lot depends on size of ****,how many times it gets in and out and whats covering it (rivets,buttons etc snagging)
