Default throttle coolant

why does the throttle body need coolant running through it?
I know on some motorbikes you can get carb icing problems is it to do with this???

Hi, yeah it aids cold days,warms the intake air.I bypassed mine,to cool the charge temps,as you don't need it for uk weather.

same. No problems. also it doesnt heat the manifold up. every little helps

Its not hard to do,you need to take the two water pipes off the throttle body(one each side),ant join them together with a piece of pipe. I did mine a little different. My inlet manifold was off,so as standard a pipe comes from the block to the throttle body,then on to the idle control valve,then back to the block. I just went from block to icv to block,leaving the t/b out of the loop.

Does anyone know what size connecting pipe you need to bypass the TB?
