Default o2 rear sensor fix?

Hi all does anybody use a cel fix spacer on their o2 sensor after a downpipe de-cat to avoid the cel light coming on?
I know a remap is the way to go but too much at moment,a fellow member sent me a resistor to put in the sensor plug but dont know if it is just for the up pipe and if it will work for the downpipe?
Help appreciated my car is an 54sti.

The resistor fix is for the uppipe only.
The spacer fix should work - after all its what Prodrive weld to the decat section on PPPs.
There is also an electronic fix that gets wired into the ECU, but I've not seen that sold for a while - having said that, the spacer isn't exactly widely available in the UK either. Try a US supplier or get it made here at an engineering co.
A remap just to fix the CEL is a OTT, so save that until you have more mods to install.

Guys what does CEL stand for? Why would you need to use one of these spacers when installing a decat what issue does it throw up? Used to Toyota terminolgy! Also when you refer to up pipe is this the exhaust part coming directly off the turbo and the down pipe I guess is the center section?

Aplogies for the newb qu's and hope you get this sorted

cel is check engine light, if you dont do a fix the rear sensor senses that the cat isnt working right(because there is none) and will bring the cel light on in the dash.
