Default Fitting Cold Air feed to 2003 STi with APS CAI

Just purchased all the bits i'm gonna need to do this through the offside Foglight cover. Had a quick look behind it this afternoon and it looks as though the APS Filter sits quite low in the gap. Has anybody had problems with water getting though and contaminating the Filter

Also how did you attach the hose to the gap next to the filter I was thinking of using some Cable ties and holding it in place that way.

Ta very muchly

Oh and PS the Hose is gonna be 90mm wide

I've got a Hyperflow CAI with the filter ("sticky" foam) inside the inner wing and inspecting it through the front cover aperture showed some wetness, but this seemed more from above or below rather than through the front. There are small gaps where the bumper meets the wing and just below, that I've now sealed with black sealant and there is a gap on the floor of the cavity that I stuffed some foam into! I also fitted a deflector to the inside of the front cover to persuade the air from the slot in the cover around the side of the cavity rather than more directly onto the filter.

If you are fitting a CAK of the APS type, ensure you have a remap before you give it some beans. If you do not, you risk picking up a piston in the bore.

Cheers Harvey. It was mapped by Mocom some time ago when the APS CAI went on

Cost me an engine due to my ignorance some years ago.
