Probably a little beneath 99% of topics on here in terms of technical ability required, but there you go

Trying to remove the exterior door handle on the drivers door (MY 99 by the way) but seem to have got a bit stuck

Doorcard off, carefully prised back the membrane, and removed the two bolts securing the handle in place.

As far as I can now see, the only thing I need to do to remove it is detach it from the mechanism, that little pole that runs down the door.

I have fingers of sausages though and a nasty habit of just breaking things, and after trying to delicately work out how it all comes apart I got stuck.

Anyone able to help?

There is a plastic clip that will click off one of the mechanism arms. These arms are similar in size to a thick wire coat hanger. Once the you prize the clip off the mechanism will free up.Then a little pressure on the handle (not too much) and it will just pop out.
