My brothers my98 uk turbo windscreens wipers are playing up the driver side is hitting against the passenger side on the bottom of the down stroke and hit the top of the screen near the A pillar on the top stroke

any help is welcome

nah, mate wipers have been working fine just start.

quick edit the arms feel loose

 

Take off rubber cap at base of arm and tighten nut if they're loose

 

First thing he thought but it tight.

 

Un-bolt the wiper arm off the spindle/wheel box and check for wear in the spindle box and splines.
You can also check that the motor itself is secure and the arms from the motor to the spindle box's are ok.

 

found the problem the white bush which holds the spindles to the motor(ball joint) came off we found the white bush but its broke and won't go back on any ideas would be very welcome

quick update wipers now fixed
