Folks im currently doing the sti 8 tmic onto my classic and ive read that it is advised to upgrade the intercooler splitter, just wondering were to get one i know zen performance do one but i dont really wana pay £100,

any info would be appreciated, car is yr 99

Zero sports also do one. But you are looking at over a 100 quid in any case.
I think your advise would have been to use the standard IC shroud from an STI8, as your classic one won't be as good on the STI8 TMIC.
So you need an STI8 bonnet undertray.

 

were is the best place to get an sti 7/8 undertray

 

Normally the same place you get the IC from.
If not, Essex Subaru Breakers, Grade-A Subaru, Scoobybits, ebay etc.

 

Try Japperformanceparts-be £65 for the undertray, I recently upgraded my 03 WRX but needed the Bonnet scoop as well

 

I made an Intercooler splitter for my 52 Bugeye. Loads of threads on the Scooby forums with instructions, even patterns to download. Cost me about 50p for the Ally, an hour or so to make & fit and about 30 mins of polishing (before bending it) to get it shiny.

 

I made my own too.

 

Lol. i dodnt know their were any threads on how to make onE, I got hold of a sti 8 for 20 so im happy enough all i gota do is fit it, cheers for the replys guys
