There is no difference in size between the sti and wrx item, however there is only marginal gain to be had from using the sti intercooler over the wrx one due to the better flow rate of the sti item.
If you really want to change the intercooler, it would be worth changing to the sti 8 tmic, this is much larger and more efficient than the earlier intercoolers.

Cheers banny, yeah heard that, but also been told that the STi8 version is a bitch to fit on a classic, ie there isn't really enough room for it?
