Default Wrx prodrive ecu

Hi i have a 02 wrx, was looking at getting a prodrive ecu for a wrx but have heard that you need your keys reprogrammed or is it just plug and go?

This is the one i was looking at:

Thanks in advance

You will need the plipper reprogrammed, any Subaru dealer should be able to do it.

More of an issue is your exhaust - the prodrive ECU will only work properly with the matching exhaust system, and there is also an intercooler hose as part of the PPP. The ECU on it's own could cause engine problems.

Not sure of the effect, but 2003 is a blobeye, which is subtly different from your 2002 bugeye.
