Hi All
Anyone tell me what the round black cannister is for on a 1995 WRX located behind driver side headlight area has 2 small hoses coming off the top fuel I think but could be vacuum, Is it some sort of surge tank I have relocated it down into the front bumper to enable me to get FMIC hard pipes round, Anyone think this will cause a problem I have been out in the car and it seems fine

its part of the emision system we binned ours and all the associated pipe work
just left the part under the inlet manifold plugged in to the electrics

 

Cheers, Its in the bumper now not in the way so I guess I'll leave it there

Its to stop the smell of petrol getting through to the cabin its a vapour filter, basically its a can of carbon, I binned this out all my scoobs, just connect two hoses and bin it. or leave it as is makes no difference except takes up space and looks stupid
