The RA has a closed deck block, which are stronger, same turbo(TD05),same injectors(380's),same power, different ecu with higher rev limit(7500),the fith injector doesn't actually do anything,it's their for the rally teams to use,you should have intercooler spray, and short ratio box.

The early imprezas had the td05,then changed to the td04 later. The wagons had the td04 in the early years to.

All the early WRX's had cdb's, it wasnt just the RA's.
No other real difference, the fifth injector did nothing on the car, ecu is the same, the STi was different though, engine was the same but gearbox ratio's are different, think this was the same for the WRX's (shorter ratio gearbox that is).

Think your getting a little confused there
JDM cars started off with the TD05, the wagons on the TD04, that all changed about 1996/1997 time, UK wagons (early ones) acutally had the TD05 turbo, weird eh!

Were the wrx different to the uk classics? My 95 uk had open deck.Aso,the ecu must have a different map as the RA revs higher?
