wrapping downpipe-what temp wrap???

Default wrapping downpipe-what temp wrap???

im thinking of wrapping my down pipe, but exhaust wraps come at different temperature grades, what sort of temps do down pipes get to???

Weird, I've never known any brand of wrap to come in different grades. It should all withstand any amount of exhaust system heat, even at the manifold. Unless maybe it's some shoddy no-name make which is supposed to be for something else that runs cooler?

well i have seen stuff on ebay etc, some says temps to 600 0c othere say 2000 degrees so i just wanted to know,

i bought some wrap for my ic pipes that goes to 600 but im unsure if this would be ok for the down pipe, or should i get something higher up???
