Exclamation clutch hydraulic damper...........

hi just recently changed my clutch but due to car not starting cant test drive it, clutch pedal feels strange, what i need to find out is does the hydraulic damper clip into the gearbox fork that has the spring attatched or does it just rest up against it?

Just rests against it. Did you disconnect the hydraulic line to it? Could have air in the slave cylinder. The bleed nipple is not quite at the top,so they tend to suffer with traped air, need to remove it,line still connected, placeing the nipple at the top then give it a tap or two while slowley pressing the clutch.(remember to tighten the bleed before releasing the clutch)

The spring should return it when it's connected properly.
