Default ENDLESS PROBLEMS, NEED MORE HELP

basically a have a 93 wrx ra which was none running when i bought it, when i did get it going it then read 6 faults on the ecu along with slipping clutch, battery has been out the car for a week or so and i've now replaced the clutch but car will not start anymore just turns over and floods the engine, and now there is only 2 faults on the ecu.

so i'm guessing when i've changed the clutch summit has happened but dunno what, i dont know if i'm gettin a spark so how can i check that i'm gettin spark? or does anyone know what i might of done?

next problem, doubt much ppl will know the answer to this but the cradle/subframe that holds the gearbox in place is held in by 4 14mm bolts that go into the chassis, 2 14mm bolts into the gearbox rubber mount and there is 2 17mm bolts that bolt into the chassis too. the 17mm on the passenger side of the car had snapped. when i say snapped the bolt was tight and has snapped the threaded part in the chassis, so i ripped up the passenge side carpet to see if the mounting plate was there somewhere but its not (some cars like my old pug 205 has plates under the carpet which the chassis bolts into) so basically my bolt is stuck in the nut which has snapped from the chassis and keeps spinning in the chassis. surely there must be access to it or is it sealed into the chassis?

Do you know what the six codes were, and what the two are that remain? Did you disturb any wiring under the intercooler,on top of the gearbox?

i cant afford to mate, my other scooby bonnet flew open and smashed the windscreen and roof, then its engine blew up all in a week.

so i really need to get this other scooby running on a budget! all i need to do it get the car started and the rest of the engine faults is a easy fix, then i'll get a garage to look at the chassis bolt problem!

must be a way to check the coils are gettin a spark?

i unplugged the coil and spark plug and cranked the engine but no spark from the spark plug so was needing to know if i'm doing it right?

2 codes that remain are 24 & 44. hmmmmm its possible i might have disturbed those wires what are they for? the engine rocked a fair bit so is it possible i've snagged a few wires? if so where is likely to have been disturbed?

24's the idle control valve,44's wastegate control solenoid. The connector under the intercooler might well power the idle valve, which might stop the starting. You can pull a spark plug and place it on the engine to check for a spark.I'd give the wiring a good going over to make sure it's all good, then reset the ecu by disconnecting the battery for an hour, try again.

Also, has the ecu been chiped? Some of the early chips made the ecu think there were faults, bringing the check engine light on.

yeah its pumping fuel fine but it seems to be building up in the engine at high pressure, when i disconect any fuel hoses the fuel flows out with a crazy amount of pressure? i'm not sure if its been chipped but there has been summit written on it with black marker but cant read it worth a **** lol.

i need to test for a spark and check the fuel is returning to the fuel tank as now thinking about it the fuel shouldn't be at that great a pressure.

Fuel pressure will be high,3 bar(45psi),and is held in the system when the engines off.Disconnecting a fuel line will spray fuel about quite badly!

Did you touch the spark plugs off your inlet manifold? you may have a bad earth, which could cause your problems. Try touching it on one of the earth leads from the battery.

when i changed fuel filter in my other scooby it wasn't under pressure like this is? i really think its down the the spark plugs not sparking!

whats the likely hood of this problem? it cant be all four coil packs lol

First thing i'd do is pull the intercooler off and check the wiring all around the places you may have knocked it. Good luck!

i had this same bolt but on the drivers side, the captive nut strted spinning on mine, i took a few measure ments and drilled through on the inside and luckily i was bang on with aim so i could then put a nut on, ill dig out the pics when i get a minute
