Default HELP needed with Garrett turbo problem

Hi guys, just fitted a garrett gt 29 to my P1,which i bought s/h,there was a water pipe missing from the left side of the turbo,so i got a straight banjo water pipe which sits facing up then has to loop round back down to the water feed pipe from the block, anyway, just been for a test run and first off the turbo sounds really noisy ,like a supercharger, and wont boost above 0.8 bar,(feels fine upto this and no smoke),went straight back had a look under the bonnet and it was extremely hot like puttin your head in front of a furnace, also it sounded like the water was boiling up inside the turbo ,could i have an air lock?,or is the new upward facing water pipe no good?,any help here guys im stressed .

Air lock ? A loop like that will be bad news, did you get it checked over before fitting ?
