removing recirculation pipe
If I were to remove the recirculation pipe from a standard BOV and block it off would I instantly have a BOV that dumps to atmosphere and how would it sound?
I just fitted a replica Greddy BOV and it works in the exact same way as the standard one. Just wondering if I could have achieved the same thing by doing the above.

If you block off the recerc you'll have no dump valve,as you've blocked the output off.
If you leave it open to atmosphere, then it won't run right. I cracked the pipe on mine and tried it,and it idled all over the place!

Using the OEM bov to dump to air is'nt gonna work well because it's not made to do that. If you want sound buy a real atmospheric BOV. The best is recirk because of the MAF. The engine is going a bit heavy on fuel just when the open BOV send the air out. Just don't have cat in the up-pipe. The best is to run without of any bov hehe..
