Default Downpipe gasket......

Downpipe gasket on MY94 WRX. Is it a dry fit or should it be gobbed up with exhaust sealer aswell?
When i put my 3" turbo back system on i was told to dry fit it but since then i've had it back off and seen evidence of the exhaust gases escaping.

Should i gob it up?

There dry assembled. Some cheaper exhausts have issues with the gasket flanges not being totally flat(not saying yours is cheap!). Use a steel rule across the down pipe to see if it's flat. Also check the torque again.
Also, i've had problems with the cheaper layered fiber gaskets, and now only use the metal ones as subaru supplied as standard.
