drivers side rocker cover

Default drivers side rocker cover

i bought a drivers side seal from a motor factors and had it fitted, started to leak more after it was done so i took it back and was advised to get some sealant so i bought some high temperature silver hour stuff took rocker off put that on and still leaking, its a 97 car and it wont seal!! i put new bolt washers on too

had it done properly aswell what shall i do next??

help me out peeps

You've got to let the sealant "go off" before you fit and subsequently put oil in.

That's what I was told by Alyn @ AS Performance.

hi mate, i have the same problem,97 sti ,,,i was told by an engine builder that its mostly round the bolts that it leaks..
he told me to pull the washers up the bolt, and put the sealer round the inside rim of the bolt,,,then slide the washers back down,,,,then do the same with the washers,,hope it helps


haven,t done mine yet (smoking like a fuc--r)

i know yeah when ur in traffic i noticed people tryin to get away as far as possible from me haha its not too bad on a long journey tho

i think i bought crap sealant, can you recommend the proper one please???
