Default Is a remap required???

Guys and girls I have recently had exhaust cats removed and have a ninja back box. The car has a green panel air filter and a dump valve, someone mentioned i should havecar remapped?! Is this the case?? Am i likely to cause any problems running as normal without a remap?? Cheers

to benefit the mods it's best to have it mapped
and for the knowledge that it ain't gonna blow up as well . .

there's a chap in swindon, not far from you , called Bob Rawle .
he's 1 of the best mappers for scoobs.

BRDevelopments

but , as yours is a 97 then you would need an aftermarket ecu , simtek is the newest and 1 of the best available at the moment , Bob also supplies/fits/maps these

in fact, the first simtek he ever did was mine
his own car was the 2nd

you should ideally have a boost gauge to see what boost you are running as removing cats frees the gas flow and is known to increase boost pressure.

Increased boost pressure needs more fuel and ideally you would need a walbro fuel pump.

Remap is not really necessary at that level of mods and would only see you extra 20bhp or so depending on the mapper. Not really worth 600 quid if you know your car is running safe boost and is not detonating.
