I have a 99 RB5 and am looking at fitting a HKS exhaust with full decat and an HKS panel filter does my car need to be mapped to suit these mods or am i safe enough to run it on the standard PPP ecu?

Also in my box of receipts i recieved with the car is the advert for the car that the previous owner bought it from. It claims the car has a 280 bhp ECU upgrade. Now i can not find a receipt for this but what boost should a PPP uk car run at and i will do a test and check what my turbo is producing.

You should have it remapped if you are going decat. Get it booked into Mr F! When you have a date then work towards fitting the parts just before hand.

Have a new turbo to go on so will do the full decat induction kit and turbo at the same time in talks with Mr F just now end of August before has any space which is good cos iv spent all my money on the new bits.

 

Sure i seen you on sidc. I'm the wireline gadgie for PSL well now halliburton. Yeah i have a date in August for seeing him too just trying to source some more parts and get them on before hand. What turbo did you go for?

Went for a VF23 just after a 300/300 for now as i recon other bits llike gearbox etc will start breaking otherwise. Probably won't get all my bits on and mapped till a bit later in the year till i save up cos she is going in for cambelt water pump and fluids 2moro and had to get new tyres this week aswell oh the joys
