uk turbo
hi ive not posted alot on this site but may have asked already,
i have a 98 uk turbo which is std apart from d/v and magnex exhaust
im looking for around 280-300bhp
so im looking to get the td05 0r vf28, with uprated pump, possible injectors
and raise boost slightly
question is, will the td05 turbo bolt straight on, or does it need slight modding?
and without putting on a fuel cut defender, what can the boost be turned up to safely without causing any probs?

Both the TD05 and the vf28 will bolt straight on.
For the power that your wanting you would be better off with the vf28, thats so long as your not wanting more than 320 bhp anytime soon.
Your standard injectors are fine for 280-300bhp.
Your main problem is going to be your ecu since the 97/98 ecu's cannot be remapped, so your gonna need an aftermarket item i.e Simtek, Gems, Apexi power fc, link etc.
