Autronic ECU CEL flashing

Hi can anyone tell me why my CEL flashes 4 times with the ignition on and again when i start the car but then goes off ?

Its an Autronic ecu on a 97 uk turbo if that makes any difference

Mine also does this with the Autronics on a my99.......
