Brake dust is a feature of impreza's we all suffer from it, I have Black Diamond Predator pads and they make a mess! I have seen a type of polish advertised called Rim Wax its supposed to make it easier to clean the dust off, never used it myself but might be worth a try.

My black diamonds made more dust than the ebc red stuff pads before them.
Just use normal polish on mine, helps quite a bit.

Just clean the wheels and just apply any wax or polish and then it will be so much easiyer to clean (should just wipe off).

My Ferodos produce a ridiculous amount of brake dust from only short trips, particularly under hard braking.

Having just bought new alloys, I bought some turtle wax wheel protector from Halfords.
Makes them easy to clean - dirt wipes straight off (well ATM but then they're brand new with just over 200 miles on em lol).
